Winter SEASONALS:

The season has rolled over, and the winter prompts and locations are now available! As usual, this comes with a few new items and pets.

Crafting Recipies:

New Traits:

We have a few new traits for you all!

Object Body:

Object Body has been split from Large Mutation and is now its own Fabled trait, available for every species.

This trait allows for the body to be partially or entirely shaped like an inanimate object. Does not include objects attached to or inserted into a regular, natural body, which remain traited as they were before. Characters must still have faces/otherwise be visibly alive, as opposed to being entirely inanimate.

All characters that previously used Large Mutation to achieve this have been updated accordingly.

Soda, Sky, and Clay Eyes:

Soda, Sky, and Clay Eyes are now available as Mythical traits for Sodacats, Cirrocanius, and Clayfoxes respectively.

This trait works identically to Spacedust Eyes on Spacecats, allowing for the eyes to be partly or entirely made of their respective substances. Allows for the use of Blank Eyes at no extra charge.

Jellyfish Tail:

Available as a rare trait for Guppymanders. Allows for a tail shaped like a jellyfish, including both the bell and the tentacles.

Queues:

Random MYO fixes, poly selfbreed rollers, and DIY pet variant submissions have all been moved from prompts into their own queues.

These can be accessed from the navbar, under Play -> Queues.

Staff Applications:

We are looking to take on at least one more new Helper for 2026! 

If you are hired, you will be given a 3-6 month trial period. After this period is over, you will either be offered a position as a full moderator or let go. We ask that you do not apply if you feel you would take it personally to not get a full position - sometimes things just don't work out.

Please keep in mind that this is an unpaid position, however all staff members are compensated for their work via Admin Points that are able to be redeemed for items in a staff-only shop on site. Additionally, as staff you would have the right to participate in pre-planned gachas, advents, and other adopt batches. Helpers are not, however, able to make customs or adopts independently.

You must be at least 18 years old by March 31st, 2026 in order to apply. We are looking for users with a strong understanding of our species and website, with enough free time to manage an often busy server and queue, and who are able to meet deadlines consistently.

Your responsibilities as a Helper would be as follows:

• Looking over MYOs and redesigns
• Processing gallery submissions, prompts, and other on-site submissions
• Responding to messages in the Design Checks and Help Channel in our Discord server
• General server moderation
• Assisting in planning and setting up species events and features
• Creating art for use on the website where needed, including item and pet art, raffle designs, and other graphics

Applications will close on December 24th. New Helpers will be contacted on December 31st, and announced publicly on January 1st.

Draw the Creature/couple Above Adjustments:

While we still intend to move Draw The Creature/Couple over to our website, due to some bugs it is taking a little longer than expected. In the meantime, it is being reopened in our server. Thank you for your patience!

Site Update:

The result of our three day downtime is that we have switched hosting providers! This does not come with any huge changes on the user end, however daily rollover should now occur automatically as intended.

The transfer process introduced a few new errors and bugs onto the site - we believe we have resolved most, if not all, of these bugs already, however if you experience anything unexpected please be certain to report it either in our server or on-site!

All previous bugs except for daily rollover still persist and do not need to be re-reported. Additionally, we are aware of the issue with the site theme appearing as default when viewing a user's character page.

Item Advent:

There will be a daily item advent during the final week of December! We will ping the Discord server when the first day is live.

December Pay-To-Enter Raffle:

Design can be seen below! Each raffle ticket can be purchased for 500 CC and can be found in the Starstop Shop!

This raffle will close December 31st, 23:59:59 site time, and will be rolled sometime the next day!

December MONTHLY MADNESS:

This month’s theme is Warmth! Draw or write about your TSS character experiencing warmth! This prompt is vague; you can draw/write about something that makes your character(s) feel warm, whether it be metaphorical or literal.

The December monthly madness will last till December 31st!

Misc:

• We currently have a bug with user shops corrupting items that are withdrawn/purchased from them!! If you encounter this bug please let us know so we can fix your item!
• All Port Chrysanthemum MYOs from last month have been deleted, aside from those currently in the MYO queue! This does include drafts that were not in the queue, so if your submission was cancelled or you had yet to submit it, you will unfortunately need to obtain a new slot.
• Characters that have been in Port Chrysanthemum for a couple months now have been updated to have the option to be purchaseable with Cloud Coins instead of Starbits! Their Starbit prices have also been slightly discounted.
• TipsyBearTender has stepped down from the staff team. We thank her for all of her hard work during her time as a moderator.
• TPOT is now a Helper!
• We will be updating collectibles over the next week or so to have variable sale prices, depending on how easy or difficult they are to craft. 
• Our 2025 Advent is now live, and you can access a page with all designs revealed so far from the homepage!
• The Black Friday sale is being extended until December 8th due to the downtime.
• The Secret Santa deadlines are also being extended by 3 days to account for the late assignments.
